Nicole Zefanya entered the world on January 24, 1999, in Jakarta, Indonesia. Growing up in a musically inclined household, she absorbed 1990s R&B staples through her mother, a church singer, while teaching herself acoustic guitar and piano. By middle school, writing songs served as an emotional journal rather than a calculated career ambition.
Under the moniker "nzee24," she began posting acoustic originals and covers to YouTube in the early 2010s. Her material quickly resonated with young Indonesian listeners drawn to her lyricism and raw vocal delivery. Her work was not backed by aggressive studio marketing or ghostwriters; she recorded stripped-down tracks on a cheap microphone in her childhood bedroom, balancing homework with audio editing software.
