How Does the Streamer University Vote Work? Fact-Checking Kai Cenat's System
By Chloe Bennett
Q1: Can anyone vote in Streamer University polls, or do you need a subscription?
Basic polls hosted on third-party links and open chat overlays are free to the general public. However, select run-off polls conducted natively on Twitch utilize subscriber-only or follower-only restrictions to mitigate bot swarms during intense voting windows.
Q2: How did Kai Cenat handle voting between Twitch and YouTube simultaneously?
Rather than pooling absolute vote counts, which would inherently favor the platform with higher peak viewership at that specific moment, the production crew calculated percentage shares per platform and averaged them together before combining them with faculty ballots.
Q3: Are Streamer University award winners paid cash prizes?
While several awards carry creator equipment sponsorships, customized trophies, and production support deals funded by Cenat's studio, the superlatives themselves are primarily honorary recognitions designed to boost the winner's algorithmic reach and personal brand.
