How Do I Make a Flower Pot in Minecraft? Full Crafting and Decorating Guide
Once you collect the raw material, bring your clay balls to a furnace. Unlike stone or ores, blast furnaces and smokers cannot process raw clay. You must use a standard furnace fueled by coal, charcoal, or wood planks.
Deposit one clay ball into the top ingredient slot. The furnace smelting process runs for roughly 10 seconds per item, converting each raw ball into a hard, reddish-orange brick. Repeat this step until you have at least three bricks ready in your inventory.
Because the brick recipe requires three separate horizontal columns to form its signature layout, you cannot assemble a flower pot in your 2x2 player inventory grid. Place a standard crafting table and open the 3x3 crafting grid. Position the three bricks in a open "V" formation:
- One brick in the middle row, left slot
- One brick in the bottom row, center slot
- One brick in the middle row, right slot
Grab the finished flower pot from the output slot on the right. You can now place it down on almost any solid surface.
