Speculation reached a boiling point in early 2026. Internet sleuths on TikTok and Reddit began cross-referencing matching background aesthetics, shared dining locations, and affectionate comments on Instagram between McCarthy and Demi Sims. Sims, widely known from British series including The Only Way Is Essex and House of Sims, has long been one of the UK's most prominent openly queer reality stars.
The April 2026 post eliminated any lingering ambiguity. McCarthy shared a compilation video capturing private getaways, late-night dinners, and candid affectionate moments. Sims quickly replied in the comments with romantic affirmations, cementing their status as an official couple. The video bypassed manufactured public relations rollouts. It felt intimate, authentic, and deliberate.
