From iPad Mini 6 to 7: the Evolution of Apple's Compact Tablet Wallpapers
The stock imagery of the iPad mini 6 represents one of Apple's cleverest visual easter eggs. At first glance, each background appears to be an abstract cluster of floating, ribbon-like ribbons. Viewed as a complete system, the shapes form the letters m-i-n-i in an ultra-stylized, four-part typographic layout.
Apple aligned each graphic variant directly with one of the four chassis finishes: Space Gray, Pink, Purple, and Starlight. Each composition paired complementary tones across light and dark system states. Space Gray received deep charcoal foundations accented by electric amber edges. Purple showcased iridescent lavender sheets floating over indigo fields. Because these were created as native wide-color assets, they took full advantage of the display's 500 nits of peak brightness, showing zero banding along gradient curves.
