The lyrics to the track are brief, repetitive, and intentionally melodramatic. Unlike traditional parody music that relies on complex punchlines, Vanwilderman's snippet succeeded through rhythmic simplicity:
Imagine if Ninja got a low taper fade / Imagine if Ninja got a low taper fade / You think it would look fire? / You think it would look fresh? / Imagine if Ninja got a low taper fade.
By December 2023, the audio became the soundtrack for thousands of surreal edits. Creators applied aggressive image-morphing filters over classic 2018 photos of Blevins screaming at Fortnite losses, warping his signature blue spiky hair into an immaculate skin taper.
The algorithmic hook relied on timing. Video editors synchronized the track's dramatic vocal swell with sudden visual reveals of bizarre haircuts on celebrities, video game characters, and historical figures. By January 2024, the audio had been used in more than 750,000 distinct TikTok uploads, generating hundreds of millions of cumulative impressions across social media.
