Fact-Checking the Kai Cenat and Playboi Carti Beef: Real Rift or Internet Myth?
By Sarah Jenkins
Online arguments collapsed entirely when Carti and Cenat crossed paths during the 2025 festival circuit. Headlining Rolling Loud, Carti took the stage in front of tens of thousands of raging fans. Standing in the VIP wing was Cenat, camera crews capturing the entire interaction. Rather than tension, the two shared a public handshake, embraced, and acknowledged each other amid the deafening bass of Carti’s signature catalog.
Cenat subsequently addressed the interaction on his broadcast. He clarified that Carti had reached out privately, showing love for Cenat's historic streaming milestones, including his record-shattering subathons and community achievements. Cenat stated point-blank that while Carti’s erratic rollout behavior could drive any hip-hop fan insane, their personal respect was rock solid.
The stage encounter proved what grounded observers had long maintained. The digital community had engineered a feud entirely out of unreturned text messages and comedic stream meltdowns. Neither party had traded disses, released subliminal records, or cut personal ties.
