Q1: Who sings the high-pitched girl vocals in the final verse?
A1: Frontman Brendan B. Brown sang the female parts himself using his upper falsetto vocal range. No female guest vocalist was ever used on the track.

Q2: Is the story in the lyrics based on an actual date?
A2: No. While the setting, the alienation, and the girl named Noelle were real, the invitation to the Iron Maiden concert was fictional wish-fulfillment written by Brown to give his teenage self a happy ending.

Q3: Why was the song censored on the radio?
A3: Programmers censored the line "and he brings a gun to school." Following the 1999 Columbine High School shooting, radio stations and MTV required the label to scratch out or mute both the word "dick" and the word "gun."
