The violence on Trinity Avenue began just after 3:00 a.m. Bennett and a large entourage arrived at the Monaco Hookah Lounge, where members of Savannah rapper Quando Rondo’s crew were already gathered. Surveillance cameras mounted on surrounding commercial properties captured the entire confrontation. Bennett approached Quando Rondo (Tyquian Bowman) in the parking lot, and physical blows were exchanged immediately.
Within seconds, gunfire erupted. Timothy Leeks, an associate of Bowman seated inside a nearby white vehicle, stepped out with a handgun and opened fire at Bennett from close range. Bennett collapsed instantly, sustaining direct hits to his torso. Two off-duty Atlanta Police Department officers working security nearby, along with an on-duty officer patrolling the block, ran toward the gunfire and returned shots. The entire exchange lasted less than two minutes, leaving three men dead and three others wounded.
First responders rushed Bennett to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition. Surgical teams attempted emergency procedures to stop catastrophic vascular damage, but Bennett was pronounced dead in the operating room.
