Your complete guide to Fact-Checking Buhle Samuels' Age: Birthday, Biography, and Relationship Truths, including critical updates.

Few television debuts in South African history made an impact quite like Samuels' arrival on SABC 2’s flagship drama Muvhango. Auditioning initially for an uncredited supporting part, her screen test stunned series creator Duma Ndlovu. Rather than casting her in a minor slot, the production team created an entirely new antagonist tailored to her range: Matshidiso Mofokeng.

Between 2014 and 2018, Matshidiso became the undisputed villain television audiences loved to despise. Samuels transformed the role into a masterclass in primetime tension, earning a nomination for "Best Newcomer" at the 2015 Royalty Soapie Awards. Her performance proved she was not merely a visual presence, but a commanding performer capable of carrying complex, multi-layered storylines.

In 2020, Samuels expanded her creative footprint by joining the cast of Netflix’s prestige crime drama Kings of Jo'burg, created by the late Shona Ferguson. Playing Zandile, the glamorous yet steely partner connected to the Masire crime family, Samuels proved her dramatic instincts extended seamlessly to high-budget international streaming formats. She reprised the role across subsequent seasons, solidifying her status beyond domestic free-to-air broadcasting.
