Fact-Checking Anyone but You: Did Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney Actually Go Full Frontal?
By Alexander Ross
Did Glen Powell wear a prosthetic in the Anyone But You cliff scene?
No. Glen Powell confirmed across multiple interviews that no prosthetic appliances were used during the sequence. The scene depicts Powell's actual physique, relying entirely on camera placement and movement to stay within R-rated theatrical bounds.
Was Glen Powell actually naked while filming in Australia?
Yes. While shooting the sequence on the cliff, Powell removed all clothing. Standard modesty patches fell off due to coastal wind conditions, prompting Powell and director Will Gluck to continue filming without garments to preserve the scene's momentum.
Did the movie show full-frontal male nudity on screen?
No. Although Powell was unclad on set, the final theatrical cut obscures his front profile using camera angles, rock edges, and Sydney Sweeney's physical blocking. The film displays Powell's rear, but no explicit full-frontal exposure appears in the film.
