Q1: What is Marshmello's legal real name?
A1: Marshmello's real name is Christopher Comstock. He was born on May 19, 1992, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and previously toured as the bass DJ Dotcom.

Q2: Has Marshmello ever taken off his mask during a real concert without a stunt double?
A2: No. While he has staged public unmaskings revealing Tiësto, Shawn Mendes, and Will Ferrell as comedic misdirection, Comstock has never deliberately walked on stage or performed a major set without his signature headgear.

Q3: How was his identity definitively proven?
A3: A combination of matching leg and neck tattoos, Skrillex's accidental verbal confirmation during a 2015 video interview, and public music publishing databases (BMI and ASCAP) that registered Christopher Comstock as the legal songwriter on Marshmello's catalog.

Q4: Can Christopher Comstock walk around in public without being recognized?
A4: Yes, and that remains one of the primary perks he has referenced in indirect statements. Without the costume and white attire, Comstock can walk through grocery stores, airports, and festival grounds as a normal civilian without bodyguards.
