Everything to Know About Inde Navarrette: Height, Roles, and What's Next
By Chloe Bennett
Navarrette's physical presence became a distinct technical consideration during her multi-season run as Sarah Cushing on The CW’s Superman & Lois. The series featured an unusually tall primary ensemble. Co-stars Tyler Hoechlin (6'0") and Jordan Elsass (5'9") created noticeable height disparities in shared household sequences.
Cinematographers and directors solved these visual challenges not by concealing her size, but by framing her character's domestic intimacy through lower focal lengths and deliberate room geography. Navarrette's Sarah Cushing never felt physically overwhelmed because the scripts matched her emotional weight to the towering figures around her. That technical balance demonstrated how lighting, staging, and vocal projection flatten physical height advantages on camera.
Prior to Smallville, Navarrette made her definitive television imprint in season four of Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why, playing Estela de la Cruz. Stepping into a high-intensity ensemble fraught with heavy thematic material, she anchored scenes through understated control. In both series, production crews favored low-angle medium shots that allowed her character’s interior resolve to dominate the scene.
