Separated from Subaru across hostile international borders, Emilia organized rescue missions, flew across war-torn territories, and threw herself directly into combat against imperial armies. Her panic at his disappearance was not the worry of a royal candidate losing her knight; it was the ferocious, single-minded focus of a woman unwilling to lose the person she loved most.
