The defining moment of Desbordes’ early crossover came in August 2020. Canadian rapper Drake cast him in the official music video for "Laugh Now Cry Later" alongside Lil Durk. In the video, filmed at Nike World Headquarters in Oregon, Desbordes played a loudmouthed, sweating personal coach tackling Drake in an underground training pool. The short comedic sequence sparked hundreds of viral memes overnight and validated him within hip-hop royalty.

Veteran comedian Kevin Hart recognized the young comic’s timing early, signing Desbordes to creative partnership deals through Hartbeat Productions. Hart brought him onto arena tours as a special guest and co-creator, demonstrating a direct passing of the torch. Desbordes did not just emulate older comics; he adapted comedy for platforms where traditional stand-ups struggled.

This agility was on full display during appearances on Twitch alongside Kai Cenat. Desbordes became a fixture on Cenat’s massive multi-day broadcasts, generating unscripted comedic chaos that frequently trended worldwide. When NBA superstar LeBron James joined a livestream with Cenat, Kevin Hart, and Druski, the quartet pulled massive viewership figures, highlighting Desbordes’ unique bridge between legacy athletic icons and next-generation livestreaming audiences.
