Do Brawl Stars Store Codes for Free Gems Really Exist? Fact-Check Breakdown
By Sarah Jenkins
Supercell does give away free items, but it never relies on manually typed coupon codes inside the game client. The studio relies on deep links built on its `link.brawlstars.com` domain architecture.
These URLs, known as Voucher Links, carry an encrypted authentication query string (`?action=voucher&code=...`). When tapped on a smartphone or scanned via an official live-stream QR code, the link directly launches the Brawl Stars app. The game server reads the cryptographic payload, verifies that the distribution batch remains active, checks if your Supercell ID has already claimed it, and displays an on-screen confirmation prompt.
Supercell uses these vouchers during major competitive milestones, such as the World Finals or World Championship monthly qualifiers. Typical drops include:
- Exclusive Pin redemptions tailored to seasonal esports events.
- Profile icons and player sprays.
- Direct drops of 100 to 1,000 Bling.
- Random Starr Drops.
Raw gems are almost never distributed via voucher links. Supercell maintains ironclad control over premium currency to preserve the value of its cosmetic and progression economy.
