Who Is Ava Kris Tyson? Everything to Know About Chris Tyson’s New Name and Identity
By David Miller
Jimmy Donaldson and Ava Kris Tyson met as teenagers in rural North Carolina, well before the MrBeast brand grew into a multi-million-dollar entertainment conglomerate. When Donaldson launched his channel in 2012, Tyson served as his very first collaborator. She was the unpaid friend handling cardboard props, enduring absurd challenges, and helping film micro-budget concepts that eventually laid the foundation for modern viral entertainment.
As the channel crossed 100 million subscribers and evolved into a production outfit employing hundreds of personnel, Tyson’s status solidified. She was not merely cast talent; she held significant cultural equity with legacy fans. Her presence anchored the channel's chaotic big-budget games with authentic, small-town familiarity. That long-standing history amplified the public shock when her position abruptly dissolved in the summer of 2024.
