The 49L carry-on suitcase centers on practical utility and clean aesthetics. Its outer shell uses lightweight German polycarbonate, molded with deep horizontal grooves to distribute dynamic impact loads across the entire surface. Encircling the seam is a reinforced, aircraft-grade aluminum lock frame available in updated matte silver and deep anthracite finishes. This frame locks shut using twin integrated TSA-approved combination locks, doing away with external zipper tracks that can be punctured with a standard ballpoint pen.
Exterior touchpoints feature open-grain Italian Vachetta leather, sourced from family-run tanneries in Tuscany. Applied to the top handle, side handle, and exterior lock detailing, this untreated leather develops an individual patina over years of handling. Inside, the case splits into two equal halves lined with recycled polyester. One side incorporates a removable compression pad with accessory pockets to press down folded suits and shirts, while the opposing side seals via a full-length zippered divider mesh to keep shoes and wash bags locked in place.
