Bones Cast Rallies Together as David Boreanaz Sends Condolences to Grieving Chad Lowe
By James H. Sterling
David Boreanaz holds a unique distinction in modern broadcast history, having remained on prime-time television continuously across three distinct decade-defining runs. From his breakout in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel to his 12 years on Bones and seven seasons headlining CBS and Paramount+'s SEAL Team, his working relationships span generations of industry talent.
| Production Title | Broadcast Run | Role & Collaboration | Production Scale |
|---|---|---|---|
| Buffy / Angel | 1997, 2004 | Angel (Lead / Directed episodes) | 110 episodes (Spinoff) |
| Bones | 2005, 2017 | Seeley Booth (Lead / Director / Producer with Chad Lowe) | 246 episodes (Fox Flagship) |
| SEAL Team | 2017, 2024 | Jason Hayes (Lead / Executive Producer) | 114 episodes (CBS / Paramount+) |
This unbroken momentum across three decades gave Boreanaz a structural understanding of set culture. When directors like Chad Lowe navigated intense seasonal filming schedules, Boreanaz functioned as both the star on the call sheet and a producing partner committed to set morale.
