The definitive answer did not arrive via an Instagram press statement. On December 19, 2025, streaming platforms simultaneously pushed an unannounced single crediting both EsDeeKid and Timothée Chalamet. The record waste no time addressing the hysteria. The opening bars feature EsDeeKid trading energetic four-bar segments directly with Chalamet, whose distinct transatlantic cadence stood in stark contrast to EsDeeKid’s authentic UK delivery.

Lyrically, the song played with the rumors. Chalamet leaned straight into self-deprecation, dropping references to method acting, French accents, and his enduring love for old-school hip hop. EsDeeKid used his verse to roast internet detectives who spent weeks analyzing facial bone structure instead of paying attention to the music. By placing their voices back-to-back over the same instrumental, the track cleanly demolished the theory that they were the same physical human being while giving both artists an undeniable commercial victory.
