Ashley Juergens Actress Explained: India Eisley's Bio, Roles, and Facts
By Elena Rostova
Eisley did not arrive on set without pedigree. She was born in Los Angeles on October 29, 1993, to parents who already occupied distinct corners of pop culture history. Her mother, Olivia Hussey, achieved global cinematic immortality at age fifteen playing Juliet in Franco Zeffirelli's landmark 1968 film adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, winning a Golden Globe for the performance. Hussey later built a devoted cult following through 1974's slasher pioneer Black Christmas and the 1990 miniseries adaptation of Stephen King's It.
Her father, David Glen Eisley, made his mark in hard rock. As lead vocalist for Giuffria and Dirty White Boy, he scored 1980s radio hits before writing "Sweet Victory," a power ballad that achieved viral immortality after soundtracking the iconic "Band Geeks" episode of SpongeBob SquarePants.
Growing up around sets and recording studios demystified the business for Eisley. She made an early, uncredited appearance alongside her mother in the 2005 television film Headspace. Rather than relying on her parents' connections, however, Eisley spent years auditioning anonymously. The physical resemblance to her mother, particularly her expressive eyes and dark hair, inevitably drew industry comparisons, yet her distinct screen presence leaned noticeably edgier.
