Are Lacy and Darla Still Dating? Everything to Know About the Twitch Duo's Status
By Maya Lin-Takahashi
Internet rumors about Lacy and Darla spread rapidly due to bad-faith clip farming and out-of-context screenshots. The pattern repeated itself in September 2026 when social channels claimed Lacy had been caught cheating on Darla.
Investigative reporting cleared the air. The viral narrative had been manufactured from a cropped screenshot showing a stranger sending an unsolicited message request to Lacy's inbox. The message sat unread and unanswered in a spam folder. Trolls framed the one-sided message as proof of a secret affair, generating hundreds of thousands of views before fact-checkers intervened.
Darla herself has addressed how fabricated narratives affect her mental well-being. During separate broadcasts, she noted that anonymous accounts regularly create fake text chains and tag both creators in attempts to provoke on-stream reactions. Viewers often fail to distinguish between legitimate news and orchestrated engagement bait, creating artificial instability around the couple.
