By David Miller
Anthony Kiedis was born in Michigan on November 1, 1962. He moved to Los Angeles with his family when he was 12 years old. He attended Fairfax High School, where he met Flea. The two became friends and started playing music together.
In 1983, Kiedis and Flea formed the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The band's early years were marked by drug addiction and homelessness. However, the band was able to overcome these challenges and become one of the most successful rock bands in the world.
