Amber Glenn's Tearful Reaction on Video: What Was Really Said Behind the Scenes?
By James H. Sterling
The controversy started with an eight-second clip filmed backstage during the national Stars on Ice tour stop in mid-May 2026. The video showed Glenn, 26, joking around with 20-year-old teammate Alysa Liu in a dressing corridor. Both athletes appeared in stage makeup, laughing as Glenn leaned into Liu's shoulder during a warm-up drill.
On TikTok and Instagram Reels, users stripped the audio, overlaid romantic pop ballads, and slowed the footage down to a crawl. Over the weekend of May 16, 18, 2026, the tag accrued over 14.2 million views. Comment sections exploded with claims that the two Olympic teammates were secretly dating. What started as casual tour camaraderie suddenly morphed into mainstream entertainment gossip, prompting thousands of speculative comments across Reddit and X.
