Adria Hight Cancer Rumors: What We Know About Her Untimely Passing at 56
By Maya Lin-Takahashi
News outlets including Yahoo Sports and Autoweek confirmed the passing of Adria Force Hight in early May 2026, prompting outpourings from rival teams, track owners, and sanctioning bodies. While her half-sisters Ashley, Brittany, and Courtney stepped into the spotlight behind the wheel of 11,000-horsepower nitro dragsters, Adria chose the engine room of the business enterprise. She managed budgets, secured transporter travel, and kept dozens of crew members paid through severe economic cycles.
Her sudden absence leaves a tangible void. NHRA President Glen Cromwell and figures throughout the paddock quickly acknowledged that John Force Racing’s 22 world championships would not have happened without her financial oversight. The timing hit the team during an already intense racing calendar, forcing crew chiefs, mechanics, and drivers to pause and process the loss of a figure who had been at trackside paddocks since the mid-1970s.
